Tokyo, Japan (July 19, 2024) – Telehouse Canada Inc., a local subsidiary of KDDI (Headquarters: Toronto, Ontario, President and CEO: Satoshi Adachi, hereafter referred to as Telehouse Canada), held its grand opening ceremony in Toronto on June 13, 2024.
More than half (50 per cent) of all Canada’s carriers, service providers (xSPs) and content providers have a presence in Telehouse Canada’s data centres, making this interconnected hub the main gateway for Canada’s internet traffic. Satoshi Adachi, President and CEO of Telehouse Canada, emphasized a strong need and determination for KDDI’s overseas subsidiary to support such an essential infrastructure for Canada.
At the Telehouse Canada Opening Ceremony, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, the Honorable Victor Fedeli and Japan’s Ambassador to Canada, His Excellency Kanji Yamanouchi made the following remarks:
